Before her promotion to Producer/Director in 1996 and starting Sugar Media Inc. in 2001, Fawn honed her project management skills through her 3 years as a Production Manager at Ventana Video. Since that time Fawn has produced hundreds of videos resulting in awards from the Media Communications Association International, Life Communicators Association, the AVA Awards and the International Television and Video Awards. Additionally, Fawn is a patient and focused Director with the ability to draw compelling performances from actors and non-actors alike.

As the lead on every Sugar Media Inc. project, Fawn hand-selects each team-member from a pool of Toronto’s best. She continues to develop ongoing partnerships with Creative Directors, Production Managers, Editors and crew members from Production Assistants to Directors of Photography. She has a great deal of experience casting talent for a wide variety of roles and works with the city’s top agencies to secure top-notch talent.

Sugar Media Inc. begins every project with a detailed, in-person briefing with all parties to develop a clear understanding of every element of the project scope. A project budget is then created including all costs from basic office expenses such as photocopies of scripts through every production step to final delivery.
Unless the scope or creative treatment of the project changes, this proposed budget remains the actual budget for the complete project. Should revisions be required due to changes of scope or treatment, a budget alert is generated and approval is obtained from the client before Sugar Media Inc. proceeds with the change.
During this same stage, a complete production schedule is created, in consultation with the client, detailing all production steps and key approval dates for scripts, music, casting and post-production.
